Sucky players suck whether they're F2P or Premium, and being Premium doesn't instantly make someone better than a F2P'er. However, the ratio of bad players in each demographic is fairly obvious: there are more bad players to good players in the F2P group and more good players to bad players in the Premium group. This is simply because most F2P'ers are usually inexperienced, are probably coming from other FPS games and, as such, have a lot of work to break free from the mentality of modern mainstream shooters, and are sometimes totally new to PC gaming in general while Premium members have more than likely clocked a lot of hours into this game.
While this isn't true for everyone, it is true for the majority. Thus, a stereotype is born and generalizations about each group are made and the exceptions, such as yourself, are caught under the blanket of your caste.
Then again, that might have been what got you in trouble That's not what Valve or any gamer wants. Weapons with more "flair or function" would only hurt the game's balance as most alternate weapons are meant to be side-grades even though they sometimes don't end up that way. If it really bothers you that much, instead of buying vanity items, just buy yourself some keys for the inevitable crates you'll get or as bartering material.
New weapons are meant to be sidegrades, not upgrades. Once they do, trade them for 2 refined metal each or more if you can get it , break the refined down into scrap, and use all the scrap you get to trade for a ton of weapons.

You are still playing for free. You don't need cosmetics to play. F2P means anyone who joined after the Uber Update.
