Use google map and locate your meeting point as destination it will tell you exact exit to take it will be a number written in yellow background, eg : 30A , 6C , etc and you will be walking through underground tunnels and even shops until you find the exit.
Leave a bit early if its a week day to beat the rush hour. Its not crazy like we see in youtube videos but it is busy and there will be queues. Plus the escalators are super duper slow apparently to consider ageing population.

I'd budget about per day if you're factoring in shopping you could make it work tho. My bad I thought you meant shopping. For just food yen is generous. You could definitely survive on yen per day, depending on how you eat.
You will want to set aside yen at least for your initial charge of your ic card, it drains pretty fast if you're out and about. I should add you can use your ic card for some vending machines here, so keeping a bit more than you'd think on it can be a plus. I should have been clearer about the pocket wifi. It does have sim card but not for calling, it is only for mobile data. By the way, do you think it is not too difficult to navigate to main exits in Shinjuku station.
I have to catch early train from Iguisudani station to Shinjuku then walk from there to Shinjuku centre building oppisite to a cacoon looking highrise. That my meeting point for my Mt Fuji tour. They said ti leave early so I can have enough time to find the meeting point. I watched some videos about shinjuku station and got overwhelmed by its size and tickets gates. So huge. That's great. Regarding internet I have booked a pocket wifi device but no sim.
